A former chairman of Oyo National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Alhaji Lateef Akinsola (Tokyo) has called on state governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde to reinstate him as the next executive chairman of the union.
Tokyo stated this in an interview with DOUBLE A MEDIA at his residence in Akobo, Ibadan, the state capital on Saturday.
He stressed that, his tenure was usurped by Auxiliary and Elewe-Omo following a murder allegation made against him, calling on Makinde to reinstate him as the next Oyo NURTW chairman.
According to him, “I have the judgment that can take me there. Those who are proclaiming Auxiliary as next Oyo NURTW chairman are fools. I sued Ajimobi and NURTW and I got judgement in 2012 as my tenure was usurped by Auxiliary and Elewe-Omo few years ago but it’s certain that I will be reinstated to my position as Oyo NURTW chairman very soon.
“News of Auxiliary emerging as the new chairman is a mere joke. It’s a lie. He can’t attain the position for he can neither read nor write while Ejiogbe is fairly educated but don’t want him to do it because he worked for APC as a result I’m best fit for the position.
“Meanwhile, Ejiogbe has reign for eight years with Fele as a deputy chairman and that’s enough for him so he should set for home.
“I insist on finishing my tenure and I will complete my remaining three years.
“I advise Auxiliary to sit back and leave the position to me and our governor Seyi Makinde to please work justly according to the court judgment for we know he is a man of peace.”
