A Zimbabwean socialite and Genius ‘Ginimbi Kadungure’ died hours ago after he posted a video on his Instagram story of acquiring a new Rolls Royce. He however died with the new ride in the early hours of Sunday morning along Borrowdale Road, in Harare.
The 36-year-old had been driving his 120million naira Rolls-Royce Wraith which collided head-on with three other vehicles.
The crash occurred along a curve just before Hatcliff suburb on the road to Domboshava.
Before his demise, Ginimbi was known to be a big time business man who owns businesses, mansions and exotic cars.
Ginimbi is the owner of Pioneer Gas and PIKO Group.The deceased also owned a mansion in the peri-urban settlement and a fleet of expensive cars including Rolls Royce, Ferrari, Lamborghini.
“This is unbearable. A young man who worked hard and enjoyed hard is no more! The flower has wilted! Go well Boss Ginimbi”, said Zimbabwe’s exiled former minister, Saviour Kasukuwere.
Sources say Ginimbi was speeding when he crashed and was thrown out of the vehicle, which later burst into flames.
A friend of Ginimbi posted with his Twitter account saying that three other passengers who were his friends were “burnt beyond recognition”.
The group were reportedly coming from Ginimbi’s nightclub, Dreams, a prime spot in the capital of Harare.
Before the unfortunate incident happened, the businessman posted a video on his Instagram story as he was heading out to a birthday party.
In the video he was heard saying:
“Yo my name is Ginimbi, it’s time to go out, it’s gonna be going down. We’re going to Dreams (nightclub) in the next few minutes, it’s gonna be going down. It’s Moana’s birthday, we’re going to pop champagne, it’s gonna be champagne showers tonight, see you there,” he told his 600,000 plus followers.
“Driving Rolls Royce wraith”, Ginimbi added as he turned the music volume up.

The driver of the Honda Fit car that got involved in the accident with Ginimbi survived the crash but is said to be in shock.
His death follows that of his mother just a few months ago.
Ginimbi was known for his lavish birthday parties held annually at any chosen destination in Southern Africa. His last birthday bash in Harare reportedly cost US$50,000 (N22,058,379.90).
He had business interests in gas and petroleum. However, his lifestyle drew the attention of many because of his acquisition of supercars. His latest being a Ferrari 488 Spider to join other cars such as Range Rovers, a Lamborghini, a Bentley and a host of Mercedes-Benzes, the most prominent one being a G Wagon.
We have to be careful in life as we do not know what tomorrow has in stock for us. If you are a religious person, I would encourage you to pray before going out and after coming back inside. Time are evil but God is our spiritual guidance and we have nothing to fear.
