A United Kingdom based blogger, Maureen Badejo who came under fire after she was accused of fraud related to N2.5 million raised for Sunday Igboho, has gone on to release a video, clearing herself of all accusations as it seems one Yomi Koiki, the spokesperson to Sunday Igboho received the money, but failed to acknowledge it.
A number of people had also contributed theirs via a “Gofundme” channel, and Maureen has decided to write the platform to return the sum of £43,933 that was raised for Sunday Igboho back to those who contributed, as Yomi Koiki has failed to acknowledge the N2.5 million donated for “feeding” for over two weeks now.
A video which was made public by popular blogger, Kayode Ogundamisi, showed how Maureen Badejo put a call through to Yomi Koiki, the spokesperson of Sunday Igboho, questioning him on the issue of the money that she donated.
When he was asked if he received the money or not, Yomi Koiki simply described the donation as a “no big deal”. This response got Maureen Badejo agitated, as she responded by saying that it is an insult to describe the money meant for feeding that way.
The clearly angry woman blasted him for his statement, saying that Yoruba liberation should not be a money making venture, and that she hopes that their agitation is not meant for money.
