CHRISTIANS have been charged to come together as one in order to fulfil the God-given mandate of taking over nations for God in these perilous times.
The Global Lead Pastor of London-based Nation Family, Pastor Tobi Adegboyega made this call in his sermon during the Family meeting of the ministry on Sunday.
In the service titled ONE, Pastor Tobi called on believers to unyoke themselves from culture, tradition, past failures and fear so as to unite themselves with the plan of God for the present days.
According to PT, the word ONE signifies unity whose place cannot be overemphasized in the body of Christ.
“There is the Godhead: the three-in-one which is diverse but speaks with one voice. The power of unity is called ONENESS.”
The 40-year old Pastor who has been in ministry for almost two decades explained that what an individual produces is the result of who/what he or she has been united with, adding that such a person has to be rid of them if they are negative. He added that what one unifies with is capable of preventing access to the beautiful future that is waiting to be taken.
Urging believers to retrace their steps and reunite with God, Pastor Tobi noted that being one with God makes it possible for man to become a part of God’s vision on earth and by extension helps individual relationship with God.
“When you make yourself one with God, you will always have something to talk to Him about and it won’t be all about making demands of Him. It is never easy to talk to someone who always makes one demand or the other without actually trying to forge a relationship with you.”
“Who are you yoked with as a Christian? It is the body of Christ and you should work in unity because all yoked together must move at the same pace. As a believer, you need to be united with the body of Christ in a bid to achieve results.”
Admonishing Christians to take soul winning more serious, Pastor Tobi said more attention should be paid to the unsaved as against just spending time with those who have been made one with God already.
“It makes very little sense for Christians to talk to Christians. We are sent to non-Christians, not just to fellowship with one another. We are to reach out to the unsaved by speaking the languages they understand. The burden for souls is what urges us on at The Nation Family.
Indeed we that have been saved are told to stand up for the salvation of others. We want to reach out to the unsaved as much as possible, and we will do that by doing things which will bring them closer such as in music and other things that appeal to them.”
He explained that a poor man will not attract an unbeliever because being poor does not appeal to anyone.
“If what the people you are trying to unite with God see in you is poverty, they will not pay you any heed. When walking with a rich man, all you are going to see is prosperity. That explains why you see us tell people that they can live the good life in God’s vineyard. Being yoked with God is not denying yourself of the good life. Being one with God is not a call to poverty or denying yourself the good things of life.”
He advised believers to not join those who badmouth the folks who are becoming prosperous, encouraging them to instead unify like never before and fight back the attacks of the pit of hell.
“When we ostracize the prosperous ones, how do we become prosperous ourselves? If we don’t unite, we cannot take over the nations. We need to be ONE so as to advance the kingdom of God.He concludee
