Chief Niyi Akintola (SAN) on Thursday withdrew from the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primary in Oyo State.
Akintola who is one of the six aspirants vying for the ticket of the party during his declaration of his withdrawal noted that the party would lose to opposition party in the state just as it happened in 2019.
In the video by BBC Yoruba, Akintola described some people in the state party as ‘Jagba’ (meaning people that seize power) saying they have used illicit means to produce fake delegates who would vote in the guber primaries.
LiveTimesNG can deduced from his explanation in the video that he is referring to Teslim Folarin camp as ‘Jagba’.
With the development, only five aspirants are left in the race. They are Chief Adebayo Adelabu, Sen. Teslim Folarin, Engr. Hakeem Alao, Barr. Akeem Agbaje and Dr Azeez Adeduntan.
