The Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde has released a bombshell during a recent exclusive interview with Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State (BCOS television).
The interview borders on the death of his beloved mother, Madam Juliana Omojolagbe Makinde who died recently.
Speaking during the interview, Makinde recounted the moment his mother died and how he found it difficult to believe because of his cordial relationship with his late mum.
He further revealed the day he overheard his parents when he was a child speaking about fate of their children.
Makinde said: “when we were young, my parents and I were living in a three bedroom flat. But those days I preferred sleeping in the living room and one day, I overheard my daddy and my mummy discussing my siblings and I.
“There, I heard them saying that our first born was intelligent and hardworking while our second born, Muyiwa was also intelligent as well but when it got to my turn, they said I was a lazy child that I can only become a teacher.
“During the discussion, they said they will enroll me for teachers’ training while they will talk to my siblings to take good care of me financially that at least they should build house for me.
“Many years later, I reminded my mother and she said the statement came from my late daddy”, the governor stated during the interview.
