In an interview granted by the Aare Oona Kakanfo of Yoruba land, Aare Gani Ige Adams today March 27, 2021, he bared his thought on the Oodua Peoples’ Republic and restructuring.
In his affirmative response, the generalissimo of Yorubaland said the government should not even think of using force to quell the voices of the people while he pointed to the new Chief of Army Staff, who threatened some days ago on dealing with Biafran and Oduduwa Republic agitators.
He admonished him to channel his energy to fighting insurgency and banditry in the North, instead of trying to create another insurgency in the South.
He warns that if the government fails to restructure Nigeria soonest, he and the rest of Yoruba elders would stop at nothing in supporting the Oodua Peoples’ Republic, that some are already agitating for.
He said simply because he is the “Aare Oona Kakanfo”, doesn’t mean he can single handedly take a decision for secession. He said there would be proper consultation with the elder on the way forward.
He further said that the politicians of Nigeria who are greedy, have destroyed the country with nepotism and corruption.
He however laments how he pays almost N250,000 every month, for electricity power at his duplex residence at Omole Estate and how his children attends private schools which he pays for, couple with relatives he’s assisting in one way or the other. The government have destroyed every fabric of our unity in this country with their level of nepotism and corruption.
