Gbolarumi who is the state coordinator for the Oyo State Atiku Presidential Campaign Organization said it is true that the governor has hurt many members of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the state but they should nevertheless soft pedal in fighting him.
He said: “I can swear that I have not collected a dime from Makinde, but I’m saying this so it won’t be a disservice to us. I remember the time of late state governor, Otunba Alao Akala. Many members of PDP were not happy with him because they were not benefiting from his government.
“The aggrieved members worked against him and the power ceded to opposition party. As a result, none of the PDP members could enter state government secretariat for 8 years during the APC rule. We should let the PDP as a party paramount in our heart above other things”, Gbolarumi urged his supporters.
