A one-legged single mother, Cynthia Amaka Okoro is in dire need of help after she had an accident about eight years ago which led to cutting off her one leg.
According to Cynthia who hails from Oru East LGA of Imo State, life has been hellish for her since the incidence coupled with the tragedy of losing his father who happened to be the breadwinner who catered for her needs.
She said her challenges got worsened after all her efforts to find job proved abortive as all employers denied her employment because of her disability.
The graduate of Physics from Imo State Polytechnics has since been living on menial job to feed her only child whose father would not cease to beat or maltreat her after childbirth.
Speaking with Bold Oracle Media, Cynthia said: “though I got pregnant for him but had to run away because he used to beat me at slightest provocation after delivering of the baby. I went to my sister to seek shelter after my mother refuse to accept the child as she saw me as a family disgrace.
“Few weeks later, the father of the child came begging, I gave him a second chance, not knowing it was a second chance to allegedly kill me, I was beaten almost to death, and again, I had to run away back to my sister’s place, but she refuse to accept me back. She said that her husband never welcomed the idea of me staying with them.
“However, a friend from Facebook decided to accommodate me in Lagos Where I live, I beg on Facebook and by road side to make ends meet in order to feed my child and I. Also from the little savings I have gathered, I sell meat pie to support myself which is still hard for me to do due to my condition”, she revealed.
