The primary election that reportedly returned popular radio presenter of “Lagbo Irawo” on Fresh 105.9 FM Ibadan, Waheed Akintayo as candidate of Oluyole House of Assembly constituency, has been reported to be a ruse.
Remember that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Sunday held primaries across Oyo State and the aspirant of the party from Oluyole Local Government, Ilumoka Presenter as fondly called was declared as winner who will be representing Oluyole state constituency in the forthcoming 2023 general elections.
However, LiveTimesNG gathered that there was no election in Oluyole Local Government and some other Local Governments in the state.
It was gathered that primary elections in Oluyole Local Government was suspended indefinitely due to two different delegate lists emanated from two factions of Former Deputy Governor of the state, Barr. Hazeem Gbolarumi and incumbent governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde.
A source who speaks under condition of anonymity expressed that the primary was about to be commenced around 9am on Sunday believing that House of Assembly primary will be conducted before House of Representatives primary but unfortunately, there was chaos that couldn’t be resolved till about 6pm.
According to report, this however made the security operatives and all the aspirants unanimously agreed to cancel the primary and postponed it indefinitely until further notice.

Also, in Ibadan North Local Government, two aspirants who were not loyal to the governor, Hon. JELILI AZEEZ and Hon. SAKIRU OLAIDE were barred from primary election venue.
