Iniobong Umoren, the Uyo job seeker who was murdered by one Uduak Akpan has been buried amid tears.
Her family and friends have gathered amid tears in their eyes, to bid farewell to the late graduate of Philosophy, University of Uyo as she is being committed to mother earth in Akwa Ibom State.
This development was reported by BBC Pidgin on their Facebook page. It is a painful situation for the family and friends of Umoren, 26, whose disappearance some days ago, caused a ‘national search’ before she was discovered dead by the Nigerian police days after her friend, Uduak Umoh raised an alarm on social media.
It could be recalled that the late Iniobong left home after she was invited by one Uduak Frank Akpan (suspected killer) for a job interview along the airport road, Uyo. Not only that, but it was later discovered that he lured the young lady, raped, murdered and buried her in a shallow grave.
However, Umoren’s family and friends have continued to call on Nigerians and other relevant authorities to help them obtain justice for the deceased. As a matter of fact, it was rumoured that the suspect had committed suicide in police cell, but that has been refuted by the Nigerian police as false claims saying that the suspect is alive and still in their custody.
Meanwhile, here are some photos and Video from the burial ceremony of the late Iniobong Umoren in Nung Ita Village, Oruk Anam LGA, Akwa Ibom State.
