The daughter of Madam Amarachi Okechi, a widow who was beaten to a pulp by youths in a viral video for alleged witchcraft has given an account of the incident
It would be recalled that the 45-year-old woman was tied on her legs and hands at the market square and flogged mercilessly by the youths in the community
It was reported that the wife of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu was the one who rescued her from the angry youths to wanted to lynch her to death
In an interview with Saturday Vanguard, Mrs. Okechi’s daughter said that she was so surprised to her that her Uncle’s wife accused her mother of witchcraft
She narrated how the uncle’s wife took her mother to an herbalist just to prove her innocence.
She said on getting to the herbalist, her mother was seen to be behind the death of her uncle, her father, and the current ailment that her Uncle’s daughter is batting.
