The Ojushagbala Kingdom is currently awash with whispers and raised eyebrows following reports that Fuji music legend, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as K1 De Ultimate, has parted ways with his wife, Emmanuella Ropo.
Multiple sources close to the palace confirm that the split marks the culmination of long-standing tensions between the couple, with insiders alleging that cracks in the marriage began to show even before the death of K1’s mother. At the heart of the conflict, according to sources, was Emmanuella’s opposition to the presence of a younger woman in K1’s life — dubbed “Iyawo Kekere” (the young wife) — as well as other women romantically linked to the music maestro.
Insiders claim Emmanuella became increasingly controlling, installing CCTV cameras in their home and confronting several of K1’s female companions. Ironically, observers point out that Emmanuella herself had once been in a similar position before marrying the Fuji icon.
The situation reportedly escalated to the point where K1 left their shared home, stating he no longer wanted anything to do with her. “Carry your wahala and go,” he allegedly declared.
However, after the death of K1’s mother, Emmanuella attempted to reconcile, allegedly pleading with the Fuji star not to abandon her in her time of vulnerability, fearing public humiliation. Although K1 appeared to consider reconciliation briefly, sources say their relationship never returned to its former state. Emmanuella was reportedly reduced to occasional visits, while K1 grew closer to a previous wife and resumed relationships with other women — including a well-known female pilot.
As Emmanuella’s influence around the palace declined, so did her access to perks and public recognition. Once regarded as “Aya Ojushagbala,” her presence faded, and many who once courted her for her proximity to K1 began to keep their distance.
Despite the cracks, Emmanuella tried to maintain a public front. But palace insiders say the final blow came in the lead-up to the recent Ileya Festival. Emmanuella allegedly insisted on making a grand “Me and My Husband” appearance to reclaim attention, especially after she was reportedly outshone by K1’s former wife, Alfathia, during the funeral of K1’s mother.
K1 was said to have responded coldly, questioning what rights she had to demand such prominence, especially as she had not borne him any children. He reportedly stated that only mothers of his children would celebrate Ileya by his side — a stance that deeply hurt Emmanuella.
Now, sources within the Ojushagbala inner circle believe the split is final, marking the end of a relationship that began with fireworks but ended in silence. With K1’s other romantic partners allegedly returning to his inner circle, it appears the Fuji icon is moving on, while Emmanuella faces an uncertain social future — one that may be as controversial as her entrance into the royal fold.
