…advocates for adherence for Covid 19 protocols

The Lions Club International, District 404 B2 in Ekiti State has, in her usual humanitarian gesture, donated white canes and school uniform to students and pupils of Government Special School for the Blind, Ikere-Ekiti as part of activities to commemorate this year’s white cane and world sight day.
Speaking at the programme, the Chairman, Lions Club committee on sight awareness preservation, action and sight day celebration, Lion Oyedeji Olajubu said presentation of the items was to identify with the visually impaired students to ease their difficulties.
Lion Olajubu urged them not to be discouraged because of their conditions, rather they should explore their potentials.
The Governor, District 404B2 of the Lions club, Lion Ademola Odekunle promised that the club would continue to provide help to students in the school for them to see themselves as integral part of the society.
The Principal of the School for the Blind, Ikere-Ekiti, Mr. Omojola Ajewole and one of the students, Odekunle Yusuf said Lions Club had contributed greatly to the growth of the school, while appreciating the club for their love for them.
Meanwhile, members of the club visited Afe Babalola University Ado-Ekiti where they demonstrated and stressed the need for regular hand washing among people to guard against the spread of diseases.
