Zenith Labour Party Gathers Southwest Stakeholders in Ibadan, Sets 2027 Election Goals

The Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) convened its Southwest Stakeholders Meeting in Ibadan, Oyo State, on Friday, reaffirming its commitment to strengthening party structures and positioning itself for the 2027 general elections.

Chaired by the party’s National Vice Chairman (Southwest), Hon. Lanre Azzan, the meeting brought together key leaders from Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Ekiti, Osun, and Ondo states.

Hon. Azzan emphasized the need for unity and dedication, urging members to expand the party’s influence across the region. He highlighted the significance of the party’s newly inaugurated leadership, which emerged from its February national convention in Abuja, as a catalyst for future electoral success.

“The national leadership expects every member to contribute to the party’s growth. We must intensify efforts to establish a formidable presence in the Southwest, ensuring our competitiveness in the 2027 elections,” Azzan stated.

He reaffirmed his commitment to fostering inclusivity and collaboration, pledging to work closely with state executives to enhance grassroots mobilization and stakeholder engagement. His leadership, he assured, would prioritize internal cohesion and strategic expansion to solidify ZLP’s relevance in the political landscape.

The meeting served as a platform for party leaders to strategize on strengthening structures at the ward, local government, and state levels. Participants expressed optimism about ZLP’s future, reinforcing their determination to build a stronger regional presence ahead of 2027.
