Sen. Sharafadeen Alli(APC- Oyo South) has extended his warm congratulations to the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, on the occasion of his 60th birthday.

In a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media, Akeem Abas, Senator Alli described the Speaker’s birth anniversary as a milestone worthy of celebration by all.

He also commended Abbas for his sterling leadership qualities, which have earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues in the House of Representatives, as well as members of his constituency.

The lawmaker has also been a strong advocate of good governance and constitutionalism in the country, using his position to promote transparency, accountability, and the rule of law.

Alli enjoined the Speaker to keep up the good work, while wishing him many more years of good health and service to his people.

He urged other political leaders in the country to emulate the exemplary leadership style of Abbas, by prioritising the interests of their constituents above their personal gain.

According to him, selfless service to the people should be the hallmark of every public office holder, irrespective of political affiliation.

He added that the Speaker’s contributions to nation-building and democratic governance are highly commendable and worthy of emulation.

Alli urged the younger generation of politicians to draw inspiration from the Speaker’s achievements and imbibe the virtues of diligence, humility, and selflessness.

The lawmaker called on all Nigerians to continue to pray for the success of the Speaker, and indeed, all our leaders, as they continue to steer the affairs of the country towards greater prosperity and progress.

He expressed optimism that with the collective effort of all Nigerians, the country will soon overcome its challenges and attain the status of a developed nation, where peace, unity and justice reign supreme.
