The Bayo Adelabu Campaign Organization (BACO) has again reiterated its stance on the increased allowance of traditional rulers allowance by Governor Seyi Makinde as the Governor and the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) swan song.

According to BACO, it does not take rocket science to understand that the announcement by Governor Makinde was grabbing at straws and making efforts to salvage a little of his fast dwindling image, image of failed and unfulfilled promises.

“The traditional institutions and the people of Oyo State have become wiser and would not be taken in by incessant lies and failed promises by someone who had been dubbed ‘Audio Governor’ by the people for making promises he knew he was incapable of keeping.

“ This is an administration that has spent over three years in the saddle without a care for traditional institution, that has refused to pay their statutory allowances as at when due, and has now decided in the twilight of his administration to increase the allowance. The people can not be fooled by such tomfoolery of a promise. They have seen the graveyard of Seyi Makinde’s unfulfilled promises which is now is full to the brim.

They are too numerous to start listing them here, we however know that the people have not forgotten.”
BACO advised PDP and its Publicity Secretary to stop wasting people’s time in his continued bid to justify the failure of the Makinde administration. “PDP and its governor should campaign based on issues rather than calling names the meaning of which they do not even know.

The people of Oyo State knows the person that loved them, that willingly created employment through the establishment of businesses and not someone who would take their money elsewhere. But to the vultures in PDP, they can not recognise this as a higher form of service. They would rather see this as grandstanding.”
