Season 6 hits the airwaves with Aa big bang and we love it because of the different shades of housemates that glorify our screens.
In an explosive fashion, a lot of drama has unfolded this past few weeks. Faves have been ‘faved’, ships have been shipped – and every single bit is juicy!
Nelotech, a web design firm took a comprehensive data analysis of all the Google searches for Big Brother Naija Season 6 housemates, the results are simply amazing.
In all, Pere, WhiteMoney, and Liquorose have generated the most searches on Google, followed by Cross, Nini, and Saskay.
The most outstanding bump on the graph occurred on the 17th of August, 2021 which is the date that General Pere entered the shadow of WhiteMoney.
When the mantle of leadership as the Head of House was placed on the shoulders of Pere, the first thing he did was to break what he saw as a “kitchen monopoly”.
According to him, WhiteMoney is using the kitchen and the stomach infrastructure as a strategy for manipulating other housemates. In what looks like a major power play, he banned WhiteMoney from holding the reins of the Kitchen.
Some Nigerians took to social media to point out that he is simply jealous of WhiteMoney. Jancie Tabai, one of the fans of the Big Brother Naija Show wrote on Facebook below;
“…If I may ask, what do u mean by kitchen Monopoly? Has WM ever stop anybody from cooking? It is only on the premise when WM stops anyone from cooking except him alone then u can talk of monopoly. Pere u are full of bitterness and nonsense. U are my Ijaw brother but that does not mean I should support u because I hate nonsense.”
Of course, there were others that supported his move, but their voices were silenced by a multitude of WhiteMoney’s fans.
The matter raised a lot of dust and it was still not settled when they got into another sticky situation a few days later. According to circulating social media posts, Pere had bullied WhiteMoney for refusing to reveal what he said during a whispering game.
It all started after Pere approached Whitemoney asking him a question in an aggressive manner and threatening to remove his belt. “What did you ask bro, tell me to my face,”
Pere said to Whitenoney while trying to remove his belt.
This caused a lot of stir and ire in social media. The social media managers even reported that they received death threats.
Others were so much pained about this that they demanded that Biggie should issue a strike against Pere for such unruly behaviour. The following are some of the comments on the saga.
@MizzzCynthia, ”I am just coming from Whitemoney’s page on IG, Biggie needs to get him out of that house, he was literally trying to bully Whitemoney.”
@YomYom_, ”Biggie needs to do something about how Pere bullied White Money. I could feel the ladies in the house shuddering. If people can’t feel safe in his house again then they’ve lost the whole essence of the show.”
@Ebelechukwu20, ”Bullying and provocation should be prohibited in this game. Biggie doesn’t let this slide. It’s all games to you people till someone needs a doctor for his mental health. Is the fame really worth this madness?”
@iphydab, ”Biggie you watched the provocation that happened last night and Pere keeps insinuating that your show is rigged. Please do the needful.” jamb results
But it’s only a game, and one thing is for sure, Pere and WhiteMoney has become a household name. To show how viral they have become, Yul Edochie made a post responding to a fan who said his bass voice is so deep that it destroys his TV set exclaiming_ “Wetin WhiteMoney no go see for Pere hand”.
According to the official data from Google Search Trends in Nigeria released on Thursday, September 2nd 2021 by Mr Taiwo Ogunlade (Google Communications Officer for West Africa, Big Brother Naija is the second most searched topic in Nigeria after the English Premier League. With this, one can confidently say that there’s no doubt that for many years to come, the names of Pere and WhiteMoney will be etched on our memory of Big Brother Naija.
