The Nigerian Association of Christian Journalists, NACJ, Oyo State Chapter, has commiserated with the Secretary of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, in the state, Comrade Sola Oladapo, over the loss of his father, Chief Patrick Olubiyi Oladapo.

The association, in a statement issued on behalf of the acting chairman in the state, Comrade ‘Lekan Sobowale by the Secretary, Comrade Ikeoye Oyetoro and made available to newsmen by the Public Relations Officer, PRO, Comrade Adeola Badru, described death as inevitable for all human beings, irrespective of the number of years one lived on earth.

According to the statement, Chief Oladapo’s sojourn on earth was a testimony of community leadership, devotion to worship, love for neighbours and strong advocacy for peaceful co-existence.

“We received the news of the demise of your beloved father with shock but we are consoled by the fact that he lived a life of dedicated service to his community.”

“We  share in your sorrow and pains at this period and we pray that God will grant you the courage to bear the loss even as we pray for the repose of the soul of the departed father.”

“On behalf of the entire members of NACJ, we mourn with you on the passing of your beloved father, Chief Patrick Olubiyi Oladapo.”

The association prayed that God will comfort Comrade Sola Oladapo and his family and grant them the fortitude to bear the loss.

NACJ urged the family, friends and associates of the devout Christian to find solace in the good works of their departed father and grandfather, and emulate his kind ways.

It also prayed for the repose of the departed soul.
