It is quite disheartening that in 2019, there is no one in this Oyo state government capable of replying the intellectual work of Professor Adeniyi Olowofela, Erudite media guru Bolaji Tunji and ever sagacious Abiodun Ambali, all former aides of the immediate past governor of Oyo state, Sen. ABIOLA AJIMOBI. The trio had embarked on fact based exposé on the various lies the current government has been cooking to tarnish the image of the last government.
The good people of Oyo state after reading that well researched and comprehensive analysis of the issues raised the intellectual prowess of the trio had expected a book opening and well researched response from the current but as usual, we have been dragged back to the years of the locust.
One Alhaji Olopoeniyan, unknown in intellectual cum academic gathering is the one who has come out to throw tantrums and shout the little words he crammed, like in motor park garages, the one-eyed man becomes the king in the city of the blinds.
We understand that Alhaji Olopoeniyan, like the rest of the minions, are looking for every opportunity to be heard and impress Governor Seyi Makinde, especially now that every appointment has gone to people from either abroad or ‘oil and gas’, he should be told that some issues are beyond him, this particular one being one of them. When it is time for mundane issues, he will be needed.
The trio that wrote that fact based article were in government and are therefore armed with fact. If at all a response will come, it will be from people in government currently not Olopoeniyan who is still hopeful that one day Governor Makinde will remember him and put him somewhere.
Whether his prayer is finally answered or not, he should know his level and stay calm there.
