Oyo PDP sets up reconciliation committee to settle rifts

The leadership of People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Oyo State Chapter has set up reconciliation committee to settle differences in the political party.

In a statement signed by the state party secretary, Alhaji Wasiu Adeleke, the committe was headed by Hon. Mufu Ogunremi as chairman of the committe.

According to the statement, the move to settle the party differences followed several petitions and complaints from different quarters calling for the reconcilation in the party.

Kindly take note of these information


  1. Sequel to the myriads of petition that the leadership of the party received from various quarters, sections, persons and local governments across Oyo State.

The Leadership of the Party in Oyo State has set up a fact finding/reconciliatory Committee to look into all the petitions, complains, conflict and misunderstandings that happened and the ones that are happening in our party especially as it concerns the last general elections in Oyo State.

The Committee members are as follows:

  1. Hon. Mufu Ogunremi – Chairman.
  2. Hon. Oludayo Opatokun
  3. Hon. Adekunle Yussuf
  4. Alhaji Chief (Mrs) Wulemot Ibitoye
  5. Hon. Waheed Gbadegesin
  6. Hon. Taiwo Alágbè
  7. Hon. Micheal Ogunsina
  8. Hon. Biodun Popoola – Secretary of the Committee

These newly appointed members will be inaugurated at the main hall of the State Secretariat, Molete, Ibadan on Wednesday 10th of May by 11am prompt.

We encourage our Party members to take advantage of this opportunity to table their grievances before this carefully appointed Committee.


  1. In line with the provisions of of the Constitution of our Party, the State Working Committee of the PDP in Oyo State has ratified the nomination of Alhaji Kamoru Adeyemi from Ibarapa East as the new Oyo South Senatorial Chairman.

You may recall that we lost Mr. Gbade Ojelabi, the erstwhile Oyo South Senatorial Chairman recently to the cold hands of death and the vacuum created by his demise need to be filled.

All organs of the Party in Oyo State should note that the appointment of Alhaji Kamoru Adeyemi as the Substantive Vice Chairman of the PDP in Oyo South Senatorial District takes immediate effect.
