A 29 year old bus conductor identified as Azeez Badejo has been arrested by the Operatives Of Lagos State Police Command for allegedly killing one Mrs. Blessing Ayanbajo.
The suspect, after much interrogation confessed being a member of the Eiye cult and he joined in order to get protection.
A passenger who spoke on anonymity says the bus conductor had first insulted the pregnant woman, before slapping her.
According to the passenger, the conductor claims the woman was demanding for her change which he did tell her to calm down because there is no N50 change as at the time she was requesting for it.
It was gathered as the conductor couldn’t bear her disturbances, he told her to alight at the next bus stop, and while alighting at the next bus stop, the conductor pushed her out of the bus, she hit her head on the floor.
She was reportedly pronounced dead on the spot and realizing the damage caused, Azeez was apprehended by some concerned persons as he tried to take to his heels.
Speaking on the incidence, CSP Olaniyi Babajide, says the suspect will be charged to court for the murder as soon as investigations are concluded
