A resurfaced video of Opeyemi Falegan, ex-boyfriend of Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing, has stirred controversy after he claimed that personal hygiene issues forced him to end their relationship.
In the viral clip, Falegan alleged that the actress failed to maintain basic hygiene standards, accusing her of repeating underwear for three days and neglecting to brush her teeth regularly.
“For what? Are you serious? You know why I left? I left for a different reason—hygiene,” he said. “You have to tell a woman to change her pants in three days? You have to tell a woman to brush her teeth in the morning? And after the whole thing, everywhere is messed up. You want me to manage that? No, I wouldn’t.”
Falegan further claimed that despite taking Nkechi shopping for lingerie in London, she allegedly never wore them. He emphasized his unwillingness to tolerate what he described as unacceptable habits, insisting that “cleanliness is next to godliness.”
The allegations have triggered mixed reactions online, with fans of the actress accusing Falegan of attempting to humiliate her, while others argued that the claims highlight the importance of hygiene in relationships.
Neither Nkechi Blessing nor her representatives have publicly responded to the viral video as of press time.
