Yoruba actress shares how she built her first house at 20 by Senator’s son while working as househelp (VIDEO)

Popular Yoruba Nollywood actress and producer, Yetunde Adeyemi, has opened up about how she was able to build her first house at just 20 years old. In a recent interview on Kunle Afod’s official YouTube channel, Adeyemi shared that financial support from her then-boyfriend, the son of a senator, played a key role in achieving this milestone.

Recalling her early struggles in the movie industry, Adeyemi revealed that when she moved to Abuja at 19, she initially worked as a house help in the home of a senator. It was there that she met and started a relationship with the senator’s son, who took an interest in her and supported her financially.

She likened her experience to the plot of many Nollywood movies where a wealthy man’s son falls in love with a house help or a gateman’s daughter, emphasizing that her real-life journey mirrored those fictional stories. Through this relationship, she was able to secure the financial means to establish her own salon and build her first house at a young age.

Despite the financial benefits of the relationship, Adeyemi disclosed that it eventually came to an end when her boyfriend traveled abroad for his studies. Reflecting on her journey, she credited her time in Abuja for shaping her experiences and contributing to her success.

“In Abuja, I own a salon and built my first house at the age of 20, and it was through the senator’s son. However, I left because he traveled abroad for his studies,” she shared.
